ELOPEMENTS& Intimate Weddings

9Q0A0206.jpg

An elopement is a wedding day built entirely around the two of you.

Whether that means exchanging vows on a mountaintop, wandering your favorite city, or spending the day somewhere you've always dreamed of seeing together, the focus stays where it belongs: on the experience.

WHAT IS AN ELOPEMENT?

More Than a Smaller Wedding.

An elopement is not defined by a guest count. It is defined by intention.

Instead of building the day around traditions, timelines, and expectations, you build it around what matters most to you.

For some couples, that's complete privacy. For others, it's inviting a handful of their favorite people along for the adventure.

The common thread is simple: the day is designed around the experience, not the production.

WHY PEOPLE ELOPE?

A Different Way to Get Married.

People elope for different reasons.

Some want an adventure.

Some want something deeply private.

Some would rather spend the day exploring a new city than hosting a reception.

Some want to exchange vows in a place that already means something to them.

And some simply want the freedom to experience their wedding day instead of managing it.

There is no right reason to elope.

Only the freedom to create a day that feels like yours.

WHY I LOVE ELOPEMENTS

More intimate. More story. More you.

I love elopements because they feel less like an event and more like a story.

There is room to wander, to get a little lost, to change plans because the light is beautiful or because you found a place you want to stay a little longer.

No one is waiting for you. No one is pulling you in different directions.

Just the two of you, a place that matters, and a day built around experiencing it together.

Those are the moments I am most interested in documenting—not just how they looked, but how they felt.

THE EXPERIENCE

What It Feels Like to Work Together.

You shouldn't have to manage your wedding and be in it at the same time.

My role is to help create a day that feels effortless once it arrives.

I'll help you think through locations, timing, logistics, and the flow of the day so that when the day comes, you can simply experience it.

I want your day to feel like an excursion you booked, not something you had to get through.

For the couples who would rather spend their wedding day exploring a city, chasing a view, boarding a train, booking the flight, taking the long way home, and remembering every second of it.

Elopement or intimate wedding? Here's how I define them.

An elopement is fewer than 10 people, including the two of you. A day built entirely around the experience: vows on a cliffside, a courthouse and your favorite restaurant, a city an ocean away. Small enough to go anywhere, flexible enough to follow the light.

An intimate wedding is 10 to 30 people. Your favorite faces, a real ceremony, dinner where you know every name. It keeps the parts of a wedding that matter and lets go of the performance.

The planning difference: I plan elopements. Fewer than 10 people means the whole day can be built the way I build it best: around light, place, and the two of you, with the timeline, permits, locations, and logistics handled by someone who plans events professionally. Weddings, I don't plan; with more guests come vendors, seating, and coordination that deserve a dedicated planner or coordinator. But I'll absolutely help guide your planning: honest advice on timelines, vendor questions, and how the day will photograph, and if you're marrying somewhere I've already been (and there's a good chance I have), you get my firsthand knowledge of the place: the light, the logistics, the corners worth building your day around.

Dreaming bigger than 30? Inquire anyway. I take on a small number of larger celebrations each year when the fit is right: couples who want presence over performance, and photos that feel like memory.

I don't just photograph elopements. I help plan them.

Here's the thing nobody tells you about eloping: skipping the big wedding doesn't mean skipping the logistics. There are still permits, timelines, vendors, weather plans, and travel to figure out. Most couples end up planning it alone.

You won't. I plan events professionally, and have for over 8 years. It's not a past career I'm borrowing credibility from; it's what I do every week. Every elopement I photograph comes with that planning muscle built in:

  • Location scouting and a shortlist matched to your vision

  • A custom day-of timeline built around the best light

  • Permit research so nothing surprises you

  • Vendor recommendations

  • Travel and lodging guidance for destination days

  • A weather and backup plan, because I've never trusted a forecast in my life

Want the full white-glove version? My top package includes complete planning support from yes to vows. You bring each other. I bring everything else.

Elopement collections start at $2,000. Photography plus full planning support starts at $5,000. Every day is different, so inquire for a tailored proposal.

Your day start to finish

Your elopement should feel like something you get to experience, not something you have to manage.

I photograph the day —
but I also quietly support it.

Let's Start With An Idea

Maybe you already know exactly where you want to go.

Maybe all you know is that a traditional wedding doesn't feel like you.

Either way, that's enough to start.

Tell me where you're dreaming of, what you want the day to feel like, and what matters most. We'll build the rest together.
